Adopt America Network (AAN) was founded in 1983 by Richard K. Ransom who also founded Hickory Farms. Mr. Ransom has dedicated his life to helping children.

Ohio’s county foster care system is full of children whose problems are multiplying each day they remain in care and who hit the street at age 18 with minimal education, no support, and no place to go home to – where they belong.  Adopt America Network is finding permanent, loving, supportive adoptive families and homes for children in Northwest Ohio and around the country who are legally free and waiting in foster care to be adopted and loved forever.

We offer in-person and on-line support groups, training, and individualized family and peer support programming. Additionally, AAN functions as a grass-roots organization engaging in advocacy, awareness and recruitment activities.
