The Marathon LPGA Classic Presented by Owens Corning & O-I donated $543,000 to 19 northwest Ohio children’s charities today as a result of this year’s annual LPGA tournament. Hundreds of children from northwest Ohio will benefit from the contributions.
The breakdown of charities that received Marathon Classic contributions is as follows:

The tournament has now raised $9.8 million for 170 northwest Ohio children’s charities since its inception in 1984.
“We’re grateful to all of our sponsors for their continued support of the Marathon Classic,” stated tournament director Judd Silverman. “This year’s contribution of $543,000 takes us well over the $9 million mark in charitable donations over the past 32 years. The tournament also announced the children’s charities that will receive contributions from the 2017 Marathon Classic. They include: Autism Model School, Cancer Connection, Century Health, Challenged Champions Equestrian Center, Dental Center of NW Ohio – Findlay Smiles, Double Arc, Epilepsy Center, Family and Child Abuse Prevention, First Step, First Tee, Good Grief of NW Ohio, Hancock County ADAMHS, Miracle League, Open Arms – Council on Domestic Violence, Serenity Farm, Sylvania Area Family Services, Tiffin Seneca Public Library, Tiffin Seneca United Way, Together We Can Make A Difference, Toledo Science Center (Imagination Station), Toledo Seagate Food Bank, Ronald McDonald House Charities, Jamie Farr Scholarship Fund.
The 2017 Marathon Classic will be held July 17-23 at Highland Meadows Golf Club for a purse of $1.6 million. All four rounds of the tournament will once again be televised by The Golf Channel.
