Over the weekend at The Evian Championship in France, Lydia Ko became the youngest major champion ever at 18 years 4 months and 20 days old! The record formerly held by Morgan Pressel was broken this weekend after Lydia posted impressive scores throughout the tournament, 69-69-67-63. This is the 2014 Marathon Classic champion’s first major championship and her fourth win of the season.
Ko’s win at The Evian Championship also pushed her ahead of Inbee Park in the Race to the CME Globe standings. Park is just 61 points behind Ko with the final stretch of the 2015 season ahead.
