Patron Protocols

Admission Protocol

Temperature Readings:  Spectators will complete thermal scanning in the main public parking lot (Lot B, located on Centennial Rd). Those with special permits will complete their testing in Lot D (located at Highland Elementary School). For those who park elsewhere, there will be thermal scanning capabilities at the main spectator entrance.

FDA approved temperature readers will be utilized by attendants to capture the temperatures of all who enter the property. If the temperature reading is 100 or higher the individual will be isolated and administered a second reading. If the temperature once again measures 100 or higher the attendee will be asked to leave the property and to seek medical advice.

Masks: The Marathon LPGA Classic strongly encourages spectators to wear a mask. Attendees will be invited to bring their own mask or provided one upon arrival.





This year’s Marathon LPGA Classic will implement and execute protocols to allow for patrons to be permitted on property Thursday – Sunday of tournament week. Gates will be closed to the public  Monday-Wednesday.

Clubhouse Courtyard: For the 2020 tournament, the clubhouse will only be used by LPGA players, caddies, and media. Clubhouse ticket holders will have access to a new space, the Clubhouse Courtyard located near the 1st and 10th tees. This space has been created to maintain an exclusive spot while keeping patrons outdoors.

Free admittance: The Marathon LPGA Classic will give free admittance to retired & active military personnel, fire, police, EMS, frontline healthcare workers, first responders, and grocery store employees. Each spectator that falls into these groups can also bring one guest free of charge. Valid I.D must be shown at the main entrance.

Golf Course

The Marathon LPGA Classic will implement and enforce protocols and regulations that will ensure that spectators can navigate the course while maintaining the required social distancing measures.

Spectator Assistance: Hole Marshalls will be assigned to walk within the competition ropes, through proper social distance from the players and the spectators, with the purpose of reminding guests to social distance.

Bleachers: All on-site bleachers have been eliminated for the 2020 Tournament








On Course Protection

Sanitizers:  Stationary hand sanitizer units will be placed throughout the golf course at the entrances, all restroom units, hospitality areas, and concession locations.

Sterilization: All venues and equipment will include a sterilization protocol that will ensure all public areas and areas managed by staff are routinely
cleaned throughout week. Methods of sanitizing will include wiping down all surfaces and fogging all area venues.

Hand Washing Stations: All staff and patrons will be reminded to routinely wash their hands throughout the property.

Social Distancing: At all points of entry and all points of commerce (merchandise and concessions) attending patrons will be required to maintain the social separation recommended by the state at the time of tournament week. Throughout the course patrons will be reminded to social distance from others unless they are family members.

No Autographs: There is a strict no autograph policy in place for the 2020 Marathon LPGA Classic.




Concessions & Retail

Venues: All on-site concession and retail venues will be assigned a capacity limit in accordance with state, county and city guidelines.

Staffing: All staff will be required to abide by the required protection guidelines and will be provided individual protection kits (i.e. masks, gloves, shields).

Food Preparation: Food preparation will meet public health guidelines.

Food Service: Food will be served individually. All food, beverage and merchandise distribution will be conducted through a process that includes the service attendant wearing issued protection and through a plexiglass barrier.

Beverage Service: Beverage service will follow public health guidelines. Beverage service staff will pour glass bottle contents into cups for patron use.

Cashless Point of Sale (POS): All payment for on course concessions conducted through credit card, no cash will be exchanged on property. Credit card payment will be applied through customer swipe or tap.

Spacing: All venues will operate with the proper spacing protocols in place.

Ingress/Egress: Implement a plan for one-way access and routing patterns within all on-site venues.




Public parking is located on Centennial Rd. in Lot B. After parking, all spectators will complete thermal scanning in the parking lot. Shuttles will take all those who have completed and passed thermal scanning to the main tournament gate. Social distancing protocols will be followed on all tournament shuttles. Thermal scanning will also be available at the main gate for patrons who do not park in Lot B or Lot D (Special Permit Lot).
