The Marathon Classic Presented by Owens Corning & O-I announced today that Ohio State Head Football Coach Urban Meyer will be playing in the Marathon Classic’s Buckeye Broadband Celebrity Pro-Am on Wednesday, July 13th at Highland Meadows.
“We are delighted to have Coach Meyer play in this year’s Buckeye Broadband Celebrity Pro-Am,” stated tournament director Judd Silverman. "We're grateful to Coach Meyer for taking a day out of his hectic schedule to support this year's Marathon Classic." His appearance will give northwest Ohio Buckeye fans the opportunity to see Coach Meyer and wish him all the best for the upcoming season!”
Coach Meyer will tee off at 9:00 A.M. from the 1st tee in a group that will also include Toledo born LPGA star Stacy Lewis and Gary Heminger, CEO of Marathon Petroleum. The Buckeye Broadband Celebrity Pro-Am will also feature the top LPGA Professionals players in groups throughout the day!
Individual daily passes for Wednesday are $15 at the gate and 2 for 1 Weekly Grounds tickets to the tournament can be purchased at Toledo area Kroger stores or online at www.marathonclassic.com. Kids under the age of 17 will also be admitted free into the tournament as long as they are accompanied by an adult.
The Marathon Classic Presented by Owens Corning & O-I will once again provide free admittance to all active and retired police officers, firefighters and military personnel along with one guest.
This year’s Marathon Classic will benefit 20 northwest Ohio and southeast Michigan children’s charities.
